How paid placement works

Normal results. You choose the order: nearest to the place you searched, A to Z, or most recently checked. Filters only show spaces whose published details match. Where spaces are otherwise equal, more complete and more recently checked listings come first. Payment has no effect on the normal results: a paying space appears in its natural position, with no badge or extra styling.

Featured · Ad. Operators can pay £19 a month (or £190 a year) for a Featured placement. No VAT charged: Dove Design Ltd is not VAT registered. Up to three Featured spaces per area appear in their own block, headed "Featured · Ad", after the normal results on that area's pages and in matching searches (on the home page, below the area tiles). If more than three are eligible, the three shown are picked at random on each page load. Each Featured card carries a "Featured · Ad" label, and its map pin has a small coral dot.

Ad · Area sponsor. One operator per area can pay £49 a month for a banner labelled "Ad · Area sponsor" under the area page heading. It doesn't affect any listing's position.

Unclaimed listings. We list spaces for free from their own public information. "Unclaimed" means the operator hasn't yet checked the listing with us.
